Short biography
Michiel Bron is a postdoctoral reseacher in the MODES project on the the Governance of the Future Energy Market (Tilburg University) and the Managing Scarcity Project on the oil industry, environmentalism and alternative energy (Maastricht University). In his PhD dissertation, he focussed on the involvement of oil actors in the development of alternative energy sources (specifically nuclear energy). His areas of expertise are History (of science/instrumentation/business), Science and Technology Studies, and Public Administration. Besides his academic work, he is involved with the national energy cooperative De Windvogel.

Michiel Bron is postdoctoraal onderzoeker in het MODES-project over het bestuur van de toekomstige energiemarkt (Universiteit van Tilburg) en het Managing Scarcity-project over de olie-industrie, milieubewustzijn en alternatieve energie (Universiteit van Maastricht). In zijn proefschrift richtte hij zich op de betrokkenheid van oliebedrijven bij de ontwikkeling van alternatieve energiebronnen (met name kernenergie). Zijn expertisegebieden zijn geschiedenis (van wetenschap/instrumentatie/bedrijfskunde), wetenschaps- en technologiestudies en openbaar bestuur. Naast zijn academische werkzaamheden is hij betrokken als bestuurslid bij landelijke energiecoöperatie De Windvogel.
